Fabrizio Romano has reported that Nottingham Forest are “closing in” on signing Callum Hudson-Odoi . There has been speculation about the youngster’s future this summer, and according to reports, he is close to departing Stamford Bridge.

Negotiations Reach Final Stages
Chelsea winger Hudson-Odoi is now very close to becoming a Nottingham Forest player. Romano reported that the negotiations are now entering the final stages. All the parties involved are in conversation to finalise the transfer.

The update from Romano was clear that the permanent future of Hudson-Odoi looks likely to be away from Stamford Bridge.
The Struggles for Callum Hudson-Odoi
The Chelsea academy product has been highly regarded since he was a teenager. However, he is yet to deliver on that promise. The Englishman spent last season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen. He only managed 21 appearances in all competitions for the German club. At just 22 years old, the “dynamic” talent still has time on his side to fulfil some of the undeniable talent he has.

Hudson-Odoi could potentially be the latest player to exit Stamford Bridge this season. They have already offloaded Kai Havertz, Mason Mount and Romelu Lukaku, all deemed surplus to requirement by Mauricio Pochettino.
