Tottenham Target Ansu Fati Asks to Leave Barcelona
Spaniard Favours a Premier League Move to Spurs, Chelsea or Liverpool
Reports on Wednesday morning suggested that Spurs had been in contact with Barcelona to negotiate a loan deal for Fati until June 2024. His Catalonian side want 100% of his wages covered by Tottenham as part of the conditions of a transfer to the club.

The young prospect is understood to be keen on a move to the Premier League, with Chelsea and Liverpool also being targeted by the player, although neither club has made a formal offer for the Spanish international.
The Blues have made clear that they are in the market for an attacking player, with Manchester City’s Cole Palmer a primary target for the club. It is unclear whether Fati’s transfer request could put him into contention for a move to Stamford Bridge but his positional versatility and high potential could make him well-suited to the West London club.

Why Tottenham are Targeting Ansu Fati
Ange Postecoglou’s side are the current favourites to sign the forward following their initial discussions with Xavi Hernandez’s side. Tottenham have made a positive start to their season and picked up seven points from their first three games, which included a 2-0 win over Manchester United.

Despite their early successes, there are concerns about the form of striker Richarlson and whether Dejan Kulusevski and Son Heung-Min will adapt to their Australian manager’s new tactical approach.
A move for the Barca talent will give them options in both central and wide areas regardless of the challenges they face. His time in Spain should make him well-suited to the possession dominant approach being ushered in at the North London club. With the summer transfer window almost over, a deal for Fati could be a huge boost for the club in their hunt for UEFA Champions League Qualification.
