Ansu Fati to Make Brighton Switch
Ansu Fati is a highly regarded 20-year-old winger but he faces stiff competition to get a starting berth with Catalan giants Barcelona. Barca already have teenager Lamine Yamal as well as Raphina and Ferran Torres, meaning a loan move could suit Fati.

Lost Momentum
Fati shot to stardom at Barcelona as a 16-year-old but suffered a serious injury in 2021 and has struggled for form and game time ever since. He has been a substitute in all three of the first La Liga games of this season.
Whilst a permanent move away from the Nou Camp is not an option, a loan move emerged as being the most logical move for the winger.
Father’s Wishes
Fati’s father is believed to feel that his son would have been better remaining in La Liga so that he stays attuned to the surroundings of that league, with Sevilla also reportedly holding an interest, but the player seems intent on heading to the Premier League for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.
Roberto De Zerbi Key
De Zerbi enjoyed a strong season with the Seagulls in the 2022/23 campaign with his attacking style much admired and he is also reported to have been key in this loan move with Romano stating: “Ansu Fati has accepted Brighton as destination — De Zerbi, key factor.”
Brighton Pip Tottenham
Earlier on Wednesday, Helena Condis Edo had reported that a deal for Fati to join Tottenham was 99 per cent done, but it now appears that Brighton have come in with a late swoop to land the highly-rated youngster.
