Everton Now Preparing Offer to Sign ‘Unstoppable’ Attacker; Looking To Get Another Deal Done as Well

Goodison Park - Everton

Everton are looking to make some business happen on deadline day. According to James Ducker of The Telegraph, the Meyerside outfit are in talks for West Ham’s Maxwel Cornet as an option to boost their attack on the flank. Additional reports suggest that Toffees’ manager, Sean Dyche, is also looking to get other deals done.

Telegraph Reports on Maxwel Cornet Interest

James Ducker states that Everton are pursuing the Ivory Coast international as a loan signing. During the 26-year-old’s time at Burnley, he was also of interest to the Toffees, but a move to London Stadium was achieved instead.

Cornet can play as a winger or a full-back and has previously impressed in Ligue 1 with Lyon. Adding the “unstoppable” forward to the squad will help the club fight against the relegation battle that threatens them again.

“Dyches’s Wishlist”

Beto has been the most recent signing for Dyche and even scored on his debut in a testy Carabao Cup match against Doncaster Rovers.

Another source also reported that the Merseysiders are working on several deadline-day transfers. After failing to score in their first three matches, the Toffees “could end up being the busiest club in the top flight on deadline day.” They will need to use funds raised from player sales if they are to complete more purchases on Friday.

One player who could be coming into the squad is Southampton midfielder Kamaldeen Sulemana. Meanwhile, a player likely to be sold is Alex Iwobi. The winger could soon be sold to Fulham for £20 million.

Other Everton Targets

Along with Cornet, Danny Ings and Johan Bakayoko are rumoured to be on Everton’s radar. This comes as Norwich City have made an official £7 million bid for Tom Cannon, who saw his opportunities with the club shrink when the Toffees signed Beto from Udinese.
