Ryan Gravenberch Will Arrive in England Soon
Medical Tests to be Conducted Today
According to Romano, Gravenberch will arrive in Liverpool soon in order to complete the formalities and finalise the deal. Medical tests are booked and set to be conducted as soon as the player arrives. The Dutch midfielder will put pen to paper on transfer deadline day for a five-year deal with the Anfield outfit.
The 21-year-old was on the club’s radar for much of the transfer window with Manchester United also tracking him. Jurgen Klopp’s side accelerated their pursuit of the player in the final few days of the window and are now on the verge of finalising the deal. He has high potential and has been hailed for his “exceptional talent”.
Romano wrote on his social media handle: “Ryan Gravenberch, landing in Liverpool in some minutes. Medical tests right after for the Dutch midfielder as new Liverpool player, then time to put pen to paper. Contract until June 2028.”
Liverpool’s Transfer Activity
The Premier League giants have replenished their midfield with youth this season after offloading veterans Jordan Henderson and Fabinho. Dominik Szoboszlai was signed from RB Leipzig to partner another new signing Alexis MacAllister in the middle of the park.
A potential double-pivot midfield duo of MacAllister and Gravenberch could take Klopp’s side to a different level. The Netherlands international will add much-needed physicality along with his brilliant technical abilities to the 2019/20 Premier League champions.
