Toney is currently suspended from playing football but is able to train with his Brentford teammates. He will be allowed to play competitive football after the turn of the year, and Romano claims that a January deal will depend on how much the clubs interested in him are willing to pay. The journalist reiterates that it will cost any club £60 to £65 million to sign him from Brentford, who will seemingly not let their prized possession leave for cheap.
What Kind of Competition Can Chelsea Expect for Toney?
Romano adds that it remains to be seen if Chelsea are going to really “attack” the situation around Toney and make a move for him in the January window. He also namechecks Tottenham Hotspur as another team that could be interested in Toney.
