Tottenham Hotspur have been quite proactive in strengthening their squad in the January transfer window, but it doesn’t seem that they’re totally done yet and could opt to make another late push for the signing of a new midfielder in Conor Gallagher.

Could Spurs Actually Sign Gallagher?
Fabrizio Romano has stated that there are no changes to report when it comes to Spurs’ current efforts to sign the Chelsea midfielder before the end of the January transfer window. He adds that the Blues are only going to be selling their youth academy product for “big money” before the window ends.

The journalist also reiterates that Ange Postecoglou likes him but there has been no negotiations held between the two Premier League sides over the possibility of any transfer at this point in time. Romano says that “probably the only way” for Tottenham to be able to afford Gallagher would be if they can sell their Danish midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg permanently. The unfortunate thing, he adds, is that everything is quiet concerning a possible sale for the Denmark international in winter too, which means that something dramatic has to happen if they want to sign Gallagher before the window closes on February 1.
Are Tottenham Looking Into Another Other Deal?
Apart from their links to Gallagher, the Lilywhites have also been strongly linked to a move for Club Brugge winger Antonio Nusa. They are reported to be working hard on getting an agreement over his transfer secured in January, even though the Norwegian teenager is unlikely to join them before the start of the 2024/25 campaign.

When it comes to the Chelsea midfielder, the Postecoglou’s team might have to play a similar waiting game. Unless they can sell Hojbjerg for a decent fee in the next few days, they are unlikely to get a new midfield signing. Gallagher, who has been hailed for his “tremendous” drive in the past year, has six assists in 28 appearances for Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season.
