Caoimhin Kelleher has finally had his breakthrough season at Liverpool, playing 26 matches and impressing in vital fixtures, most notably in the EFL Cup Final.
Turning 26 years old this year, Kelleher may be looking for a new challenge. Despite a strong season, the Irishman was unsurprisingly displaced by Alisson Becker returning from injury. He will always be a backup at Anfield; leaving Merseyside may be necessary for Kelleher to progress his career.

Plenty of Premier League outfits will be monitoring his situation, with teams like Bournemouth looking for a new goalkeeper. However, the player himself may be content at a club where he has won seven trophies – only failing to conquer the Europa League.
Mohamed Salah
If you recall, Mohamed Salah was linked to leaving the club last summer. Al Ittihad had a £150 million bid rejected.
Salah, like a couple of others in this piece, will be out of contract in a year. If Liverpool are offered upwards of £100 million by a Saudi club, they may take a big payday instead of losing the Egyptian on a free in 2025.

By anybody else’s standards, 18 goals and 10 assists in the Premier League was a strong campaign. But this was Salah’slowest-scoring season in the league for Liverpool, and he went through a spell of anonymous performances. This was the third time he has lost a title race to Pep Guardiola; Salah may just call it a day in England.
Kostas Tsimikas
Kostas Tsimikas signed in 2020 as a backup to Andy Robertson but has struggled for minutes in the past four years.
This season was an example of that when Robertson was out or being rested, Joe Gomez was most often his replacement. The makeshift left-back had one of his best seasons playing there, resulting in an England call-up for the provisional Euros squad and likely a place on the plane to Germany.

At 28 years old, the Greek international holds very little value to new manager Arne Slot and would likely not feature much next season. It would make sense for Tsimikas to become one of the Liverpool players to leave shortly.
Virgil van Dijk
The Reds’ club captain will also see his deal expire in 2025 and has revealed that a new contract has not been drawn up yet due to the hierarchy focusing on Klopp’s replacement.
Van Dijk turns 33 next month; at this point in his career, will he be keen on working through another transitional period in a new project?

Fabrizio Romano revealed that “Real Madrid are monitoring Alexander-Arnold’s contract situation at Liverpool.”
Los Blancos are building a super-team, with stars like Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, and Jude Bellingham already at the club, and Kylian Mbappe set to join. This would surely be an attractive prospect to tempt Alexander-Arnold.
It may be more likely for the “superstar“ to leave in 2025; either way, it must be worrying to fans that he and other Liverpool players may leave on free transfers.
