Top 10 Everton Signings In The Premier League Era
10. John Stones (£3 million from Barnsley)
Signed as a project player, he soon proved he had the ability at the top level. A modern-day centre-back who can play from the back. It is no surprise that he is now one of England’s best players. Sold to Manchester City after four seasons for £47.5 million, the Toffees got a quick return on Stones.
9. Tim Howard (£3.5 million from Manchester United)
The American goalkeeper has the second most Premier League appearances for the Toffees. Recording 117 Premier League clean sheets in his 12 seasons at Goodison Park. An incredibly consistent keeper that also happens to have found the back of the net in a Premier League game.
8. Jordan Pickford (£30 million from Sunderland)
After the relegation of his home club, Pickford hit the market and the Toffees were quick to secure his signature. Despite his early form that saw him make a few goal-casting blunders, he is now a fan favourite. With 71 clean sheets, he is on track to overtake Howard for most Everton clean sheets in the Premier League.
7. Kevin Campbell (£3 million from Trabzonspor)
The legend of Super Kev at Everton started with a loan spell from the Turkish club. He found the back of the net nine times in just eight games at the end of the 1998/99 season helping Everton climb to safety. After making the deal permanent he led the club in goals scoring for the next two seasons.

5. Duncan Ferguson (£4 million from Rangers)
A striker who strikes fear into defenders, not always due to his footballing ability. Ferguson was signed for a British record at the time and went on to score 60 Premier League goals for the club. 4. Tim Cahill (£1.5 million from Millwall)
The Australian was a superb attacking midfielder / second striker with an uncanny knack to find the back of the net with his head. His 56 goals for Everton in the Premier League have him ranked third on their scoring chart.
3. Leighton Baines (£5 million from Wigan Athletic)
The man from Kirkby was signed at the start of the 2007 season. Gifted with a wand of a left foot he held down the left flank alongside Steven Pienaar in one of Everton’s best periods of the Premier League era. A blue his whole life, he was one of the best left-backs in the league in the early 2010s.

2. Romelu Lukaku (£28 million from Chelsea)
The Belgian international made his move permanent after a successful loan spell at the Toffees. A physically imposing striker who ended his Everton career atop of their Premier League scoring list with 68 goals. He was also sold for £80 million to Manchester United, a record fee for the Toffees.
1. Seamus Coleman (£60,000 from Sligo Rovers)
There has been no better value-for-money purchase than Seamus Coleman. The Irishman moved to Merseyside at 21 years old. Not many would’ve expected him to have the career he has had. The club captain has made a record 364 Premier League appearances for the Toffees and has signed on for another season. While it may be his last for the club, going out in the final season at Goodison Park would be very fitting.
