Medical tests have been booked for July 27 and documents will be reviewed, but if all goes well Huijsen will be an official AFC Bournemouth player, despite once rejecting Real Madrid.

Bournemouth Beat European Interest

Huijsen, now 19-years-old, has been labelled as a “wonderkid”, so it’s not surprising that there has been interest from “a number of top clubs”.

It had been reported that Stuttgart were Bournemouth’s main competitors, previously “pushing to get it done this week”. Wolfsburg, AS Monaco, and Aston Villa were also interested.

It is impressive that Huijsen has chosen to join the Cherries, given their lack of historical stature, but their project is extremely exciting as they aim for European football.

Juventus to Bid for Jean-Clair Todibo

The Bianconeri are keen to complete the Huijsen transfer, as it will financially allow them to move for Jean-Clair Todibo. Romano reports that Juventus plan to bid for Todibo as soon as this deal is signed, amidst interest from London-based West Ham United.

What Qualities Can Dean Huijsen Bring to the South Coast?

However, the player has been highly praised for his passing ability and ball-progressing numbers. He even scored an incredible goal against Frosinone last season, dribbling past the opposition team and scoring from outside of the box.

Able to play with both feet, Huijsen can fit perfectly alongside either the left-footed Marcos Senesi or the right-footed Illia Zabarnyi.
