Jadon Sancho reportedly wants to join Chelsea, whilst Manchester United talk with the suitors. This comes whilst the Blues try to sell Raheem Sterling and buy Victor Osimhen.
Jadon Sancho Keen on Move to Chelsea from Manchester United
Talks Taking Place Between Manchester United and Chelsea
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Sancho has given the “total green light” for a move to Stamford Bridge. He is keen on joining the project, which Todd Boehly has been constructing for the past two years. Neutrals can see the potential benefits of this project, but it still seems a little strange that it would attract a player who has had such career turmoil in recent years.

This deal is currently on, with talks taking place between Chelsea and Manchester United. Juventus had been in talks for a loan with option to buy for Sancho, but the Red Devils insisted on an obligation to buy. Meanwhile, the Blues want a swap for Raheem Sterling, but they may shift their winger elsewhere, potentially to Arsenal.
Where Does Jadon Sancho Play at Chelsea?
Sancho is a player who was once “excellent” for Borussia Dortmund and showed remnants of this on his six-month loan there last season. There is no doubt potential for this move to result in Chelsea having a great player.
However, it seems unlikely that he would have a consistent starting position. Cole Palmer is their starboy, whilst Noni Madueke has just found his feet with a hat-trick against Wolves. Besides this, they have already signed Portuguese duo Pedro Neto and Joao Felix this summer. With Osimhen potentially joining, it is a struggle to see where Sancho would play.
Should the Osimhen transfer fall through, Felix could start at striker. If Maresca sticks with his starting lineup against Wolves, which had two attacking midfielders and two wingers, Sancho could play alongside Palmer in a more central role. Madueke and Neto would play on the wings, and there would be a spot for everyone. However, the extent of success to which this system would have is unknown.
