How Liverpool Have Lined-up Recently

Liverpool have lined up with a 4-2-3-1 under Arne Slot. Alisson Becker starts in goal, as ever. Andy Robertson is the left-back and Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back. Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk are the centre-backs.

Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister play as the holding midfielders, whilst Dominik Szoboszlai plays as an attacking midfielder. Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah are wingers, with Diogo Jota the star centre-forward this season.

Liverpool’s Recent Form and Tactics

Salah was a shadow of his usual self and really struggled to get into the game. It seemed that Slot’s side were badly missing that killer pass or run to open up the defence, and so it was not surprising to end the match without a goal. A Callum Hudson-Odoi wonderstrike won the game for Forest.

Liverpool Injuries and Absentees to Consider Vs AC Milan

Harvey Elliott fractured his foot whilst training with England’s U21s, and will be out for at least a month. Meanwhile, Curtis Jones returned to the squad in the last match after being out for the previous two.

Federico Chiesa has not yet featured in a matchday squad due to a lack of match fitness; Juventus did not play him at all in pre-season as they wanted to push him towards a transfer. Slot has revealed that he could play against Milan.
