Manchester United will look to get back to winning ways in what looks like a daunting trip to Villa Park to face Unai Emery’s thriving Aston Villa side this Sunday, October 6 at 2 PM BST. Manchester United Predicted Lineup for Clash vs Aston Villa
How Manchester United Have Lined-up Recently
André Onana is Manchester United’s starting goalkeeper and has been on good form recently, keeping the team in games with saves at vital times.
In defence, Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot are the regular full-backs, with Matthijs De Ligt and Lisandro Martinez in the middle, although Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans have rotated in of late as second-choice options.

In midfield, Manuel Ugarte has quickly become a regular, with Kobbie Mainoo usually alongside him. Christian Eriksen and Casemiro are rotation options.
In attacking midfield, Amad Diallo, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford started in Thursday’s draw with FC Porto, with Alejandro Garnacho and Antony the rotation options on the wing.
One of Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund have led the line for the Red Devils in recent weeks.
Manchester United Recent Form and Tactics
Put simply, United’s form has been dreadful lately, with the Red Devils languishing in 14th place in the league. Three defeats out of six have set alarm bells ringing amongst fans, some of whom are steadfast in their belief that Erik ten Hag is not the right man to take the team forward.

Although there have been bright sparks in the team’s attacking play and the defence has looked solid at times, gaping holes in the middle of the park have cost United this season. Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool ruthlessly exploited the space in between the lines in big wins at Old Trafford, leading to the conclusion that further recruitment will be required in this area if Ten Hag wants to take the team forward.
Thursday’s chaotic Europa League draw with FC Porto further showcased the tactical and personnel deficiencies within the squad, and Ten Hag is under pressure to find solutions quickly.
Manchester United Injuries to Consider
Mason Mount (Head) and Kobbie Mainoo (Unknown) are facing late fitness tests before the game at Villa Park. Luke Shaw (Calf) is ruled out until at least mid-October, with fellow left-back Tyrell Malacia (Knee) also targeting a return after the international break. Summer signing Lény Yoro (Ankle) is predicted to be out until mid-November.
