Last Word on Football brings you three midfielders you should transfer into your Gameweek 10 squad, with the FPL deadline set for 12:00 PM BST on November 2.

Three Midfielders to Select for FPL Gameweek 10

Bukayo Saka (£10.0m) – Newcastle United vs Arsenal

Bukayo Saka marked his return from injury with a stunning goal in the early phase of the game against Liverpool. This was his 50th Premier League goal and the Englishman can be expected to continue his attacking exploits against Newcastle United on Saturday.

The long-term absence of Sven Botman and Kieran Trippier has weakened the Geordies’ defence. This is certainly going to make the job easier for Saka, who has proven to be a handful even for the best backlines in the country. If the Magpies aren’t careful, he might run riot at St.James’ Park.

Lewis Hall, the 20-year-old Newcastle left-back might be a talented player, but coming out on top in a battle with Saka is quite difficult. Liverpool’s Andy Robertson learned last week how tough it is to keep the “outstanding” Arsenal attacker quiet.

Luis Diaz (£7.9m) – Liverpool vs Brighton & Hove Albion

Luis Diaz’s pace will be his biggest weapon when Liverpool welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Anfield on Saturday. The visitors’ desire to play a high line might backfire if they don’t get their passing sequences right.

Diaz has been one of the standout players for Liverpool under new manager Arne Slot this season. He has so far notched up five goals and a couple of assists in seven starts. He has amassed 60 FPL points, only Mohamed Salah has more for the club.

Against Arsenal, Diaz bagged an assist as he helped Liverpool equalise in the first half. The Colombian should have a joyful day in front of the goal against the Seagulls, who have conceded 12 goals so far, the second-most among the teams in the top half of the table.

Emile Smith Rowe (£5.7m) – Fulham vs Brentford – A Cost-Effective Option for Gameweek 10

On Monday night, Fulham will host Brentford in a clash that promises lots of goals. English midfielder Emile Smith Rowe is more likely to be involved in the goals the hosts score.

Smith Rowe was assigned an FPL value of £5.5m when the season began. A series of impressive performances saw the former Arsenal player’s value rise to £5.7m. He has four goal contributions in eight starts for the Cottagers and might further improve upon this stat in Gameweek 10.

Brentford’s defence appears to be in dire straits as the season progresses. They have conceded 8 goals in the last three league games. This takes their total for the season to 18. Only the three teams in the relegation spots have let in more. Fulham, powered by Smith Rowe, have enough ammunition in their arsenal to put more holes in the Bees’ backline.
