Championship side Stoke City have completed the signing of Tottenham Hotspur winger Jack Clarke. The 20-year-old arrives on a loan deal until the end of the campaign and could be involved in the fixture against Blackburn Rovers this weekend.

Stoke Getting Business Done
It hasn’t been an easy ride for Stoke since their relegation to the Championship. In 2018/19 and 2019/20, they fought for their lives towards the bottom of the division, despite possessing some of the players that had been regular performers for them in the top flight.
This season, though, has been different. The Potters sit eighth in the Championship under Michael O’Neill and are just a point behind Watford in the play-0ff places.
In order to keep the squad fresh and motivated, Stoke have been doing good business in this transfer window, and Clarke joins Welsh pair Rabbi Matondo and Rhys Norrington-Davies in joining the club on loan until the end of the campaign.
Matondo had been plying his trade in the Bundesliga with Schalke, while Norrington-Davies takes a jump up the league after parent club Sheffield United cut short his impressive stint with Luton Town to send him to the bet365 Stadium.
Clarke’s Career
Since bursting onto the scene with Leeds United and subsequently leaving for Spurs, Clarke’s young career has somewhat ground to a halt.
He was loaned back to Leeds initially but couldn’t get back in the team, and another temporary switch to Queens Park Rangers also did not go to plan.
It’s important to remember he is just 20-years-old, though, so needs time to further develop – and Stoke could be the perfect place for this.
On his arrival, Potters boss O’Neill said: “Jack is an exciting young wide player who will bring an added dimension to our resources for the remainder of the season.”
