Whilst cult hero Lucas Leiva is on his way to Lazio, Liverpool are still fighting to get further business done in the transfer window. Manager Jurgen Klopp doesn’t seem too concerned, and is expecting Liverpool’s Board to get deals done:
“100%. What else could I say? If they could make it quicker, you can imagine they would be here and trying. It’s not about money or something like this. Okay, I didn’t ask if I could buy Ronaldo or the other guys from Barcelona but I am absolutely fine with this.”
There is hardly a shortage of transfer news making waves around the club.
The Reds are heavily linked to 23-year-old Hull City left back Andy Robertson, with a fee of £8million being discussed, according to various reports. Some are claiming that Hull would be looking to attain Ryan Kent back on a loan deal.

Additionally, the links to Southampton defender Virgil Van Dijk continue to stir, despite the Reds embarrassing club announcement over the club’s approach for the Dutch centre back.

The heaviest linked player is Naby Keita, the 22-year-old RB Leipzig midfielder. This is a player Jürgen Klopp wants at the club, and is willing to pay big money for his signature. With an initial failing £57million bid, the next offer on the table is expected to be around £60-70million. If offered this sort of transfer fee, it’s very possible that the German club will allow Keita to sign for the Merseyside club.
