Premier League Predictions Matchday Six: Part Two

Premier League predictions

With five games gone in the Premier League season, we are now seeing more and more teams find their form, especially as the fixtures begin to pile up. And matchday six should showcase that form for many teams, as highlighted in part one of this week’s Premier League predictions, which you can read here.

In part one, we looked at an early battle between title contenders, in Chelsea vs Manchester City. In part two, however, we are taking a closer look at different key fixture, the north London derby; Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur; a fixture which pits two sides that need a win more than most, up against each other. It will certainly be a good battle, and one that we’ve predicted below.

Premier League Predictions Matchday Six: Part Two

Brentford Host Unbeaten Liverpool

On paper, the game between newly-promoted Brentford and a Liverpool side on a 15-game unbeaten run should be easy to predict. Brentford are no pushovers, however, and have all the firepower necessary to cause a shock result. Given the atmosphere at Brentford Community Stadium, too, it will be no easy task for Jurgen Klopp’s side when attempting to control the game.

Ultimately, The Reds should come away with all three points, in a result which looks routine, but, in reality, is anything but. With the form that Mohamed Salah is in, expect the Egyptian to once again shine, and get his name on the scoresheet, even without the injured midfield trio of Naby Keita, Thiago Alcantara, and Harvey Elliott.

Southampton Take on Wolves

Sandwiched in between Saturday’s scintillating fixtures and Sunday’s north London derby is, admittedly, a very forgetful fixture in Southampton vs Wolverhampton Wanderers. Both sides should be mid-table mainstays this season, without neither the joy of the top half or the threat of relegation. They both have a few standout stars, from Tino Livramento, to Adama Traore and Francisco Trincao – setting up an intriguing affair.

Ultimately, given the number of similarities between the two – making predictions in this Premier League fixture all the more harder – we should see an exciting draw.

Arsenal Host Tottenham Hotspur in North London Derby

The north London derby, a fixture every football fan looks forward to watching. It’s always filled with goals, and good ones at that, and this Sunday should be no different. The game includes several storylines. Will Spurs get back to winning ways? Or will the pressure continue to mount for Nuno Espírito Santo. Can Harry Kane get back to scoring ways in the fixture he always seems to score in?

Meanwhile, can Arsenal continue their good form, and even go level on points with Tottenham, who were top of the tree at the start of September? There’s a lot of questions that need answering for both sides, and Sunday’s game presents the perfect QnA session.

It will certainly be entertaining; there will certainly be goals. And, much to the joy of the home crowd at the Emirates, there will be a victory for the Gunners.
