According to Fabrizio Romano, Torino and Italy striker Andrea Belotti may leave Torino as a free agent in the summer of 2022. He has yet to accept any formal offer that Torino has put his way. Belotti turns 28-years-old in December and may be gearing up for the next step in his career. Romano mentions that Inter Milan and Zenit were interested in him this past summer, whereas AC Milan have also floated interest.

The Strikers and Potential Destinations
Belotti has long been regarded as one of the top strikers in Serie A. This season, he has just one goal to his name but has only played two matches. Last season, Belotti scored 13 goals and provided seven assists in 35 matches.
His best season came in 2016/17, where he scored 26 goals and provided four assists in 35 matches. Belotti has not been able to replicate that for a while now but consistently hits the double-digit mark in goals.
He has the size, skill, and pace necessary for a modern forward. In a better team with better surrounding playmakers, the Italian can flourish. Torino may be holding him back to an extent, as at best they may finish mid-table in Italy.
Inter was a possible option in the summer. That’s different now, as they signed Joaquin Correa and Edin Dzeko. In addition, they have a top young striker in Lautaro Martinez.
Zenit is another option, but it’s difficult to envision. Belotti has spent his entire career in Italy and may look to remain and choose a better domestic club than Torino instead.
That leaves Milan as another option. Ante Rebic has started at striker the most this season. He’s done well, but the Croatian is actually a winger. Milan’s other striking options include Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud. Both are icons of the last several years but are approaching the end of their careers.
