United Decide Stance on Antony and Cody Gakpo
Having lost their first two Premier League games to Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford in awful fashion, Manchester United have realised they need to make more signings. They are ready to support Erik ten Hag and get more quality options for him to settle things at Old Trafford and compete for trophies this season.
Right now, PSV forward Cody Gakpo and Ajax winger Antony are two priority targets for the Red Devils. However, Burt claims that the club don’t think they have the necessary budget to buy both of them and will only sign one of the two Eredivisie stars.

The Red Devils recently had a £68 million offer rejected by the reigning Dutch champions for the Brazilian winger and are pondering whether to increase their offer. They are also hoping about being able to sign Gakpo for around £34 million – even though PSV want around £38.2 million to let him go.
Red Devils Set for Frantic End to Transfer Window
With the summer transfer window set to close on September 1, the Red Devils will probably have to scramble to complete multiple deals and bolster their squad. Among the four signings they want to make, one will definitely be to bring in a new winger to compete with the likes of Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford.

United are also reportedly looking to sign a new goalkeeper who can compete with David de Gea for the number one position. They’re also on the lookout for a new right-back that can add more quality to their backline. So far in the summer transfer window, the Manchester side have signed Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord, Christian Eriksen on a free deal, Lisandro Martinez from Ajax and Real Madrid legend Casemiro – arguably their biggest acquisition.
