Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Marcus Rashford will be at the club until at least the summer of 2024 amid fears that his side might lose out on him next year. The Englishman is yet to sign a new long-term deal with the Red Devils despite having a strong start to the new season.

Ten Hag Comments on Rashford’s Future at United
Some questions were being raised on what will happen with the 24-year-old’s situation at Old Trafford as his contract was originally known to be set to expire in the summer of 2023. There were fears that he might want to join PSG as a free agent once his contract expires, after the club’s president hinted that they’d be delighted to sign him on a free transfer recently. Bayern Munich are also reportedly interested in signing him.

However, Ten Hag has put down all those fears by assuring that he will stay at the club until at least 2024 and they’re also planning to give him a new long-term deal to ensure he stays with them for many years to come. The Dutch manager said: “He has to make a decision, so we can only show him that Man United is the best club to be in. He has one-and-a-half years (on his contract) and yes, Rashford will be here for all of that.”
Rashford’s Impressive Season So Far
Rashford has had a really good start to the season under the new manager, getting back to his best form for the Red Devils. He’s often played as a centre-forward in the Dutch gaffer’s system, as well as playing on his natural left-wing role.
The 24-year-old has scored eight goals and provided three assists in 19 appearances for his club this season, which includes key goals against Arsenal and West Ham United. Rashford was picked in England’s Qatar World Cup squad because of his impressive performances and was able to make an impact for his national side too.

The United forward scored three goals in five World Cup appearances, with England teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold calling him ‘outstanding’ after his brace against Wales. . He ended the tournament as their joint highest-goalscorer and will return to his club with quite a lot of momentum in his side. Ten Hag will just hope that the 24-year-old can agree a new long-term deal with the club soon and keep playing under him for many years to come.
