Arsenal have announced that Gabriel Martinelli has signed a new long-term contract with the club. The Brazilian winger has put pen to paper on a new deal that enables him to commit his long-term future at the Emirates Stadium.

Rewarding Quality Play
The 21-year-old forward has been enjoying a great season with the Gunners, but his previous deal was set to expire in 2024 – causing a sense of worry among some fans. However, Arsenal have been able to convince Martinelli to prolong his stay at the club by signing him to a new deal.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein reports that he has signed a new four-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2027. Mikel Arteta is delighted to see his talented winger sign a new deal with the club, as he said: “We’re delighted Gabi has signed a new long-term contract. Our supporters see his quality and energy every single time he puts on the shirt and he’s the same every day in training, with his hard work and positive values.”

Martinelli joined the Gunners back in 2019 and has slowly but surely claimed a starting role under Arteta over the last few years. He has played a key role in their success in the Premier League this season, scoring seven goals and providing two assists in 19 appearances so far.

The 21-year-old is now going to look to continue his development and become one of the most dangerous wingers in world football, all while helping Arsenal win major trophies under Arteta. The Brazilian winger, who was once dubbed ‘the talent of the century’ by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, has played 111 times for the Gunners in his career – scoring on 25 occasions and providing 16 assists.
