The Saudi club’s bid is “concrete and important” with a fee set at around £3.1 million (€40 million, as Romano earlier reported). The Saudi club is keen on acquiring the services of the talented midfielder and have presented him with an attractive three-year contract. Milinkovic-Savic is among the latest high-profile players to receive a lucrative proposal to move to Saudi Arabia.
Milinkovic-Savic at Lazio
Milinkovic-Savic joined Lazio in 2015 and since then has established himself as one of the top midfielders in Serie A. His technical ability and footballing intelligence have made him an extremely potent box-to-box midfielder. The 28-year-old made a total of 341 appearances for the Biancocelesti, scoring 69 times and providing 59 assists over eight seasons. The Serbian international played a pivotal role in Lazio’s impressive second-place finish last season, contributing nine goals and eight assists.

Transfer Rumours Put to Bed
The Lazio midfielder was subject to interest from some other big clubs in Europe, as he has been for the past few seasons. Milinkovic-Savic’s performances in Italy attracted interest from Premier League clubs; Arsenal and Chelsea were in the race for the midfielder at one point of time. Other Italian clubs, Inter Milan and Juventus were also vying for the services of the Serbia star. Ultimately, Al-Hilal’s enticing offer has swayed both Milinkovic-Savic and Lazio.
The pursuit of Sergej Milinković-Savić by Al Hilal is now in its final stages, with a verbal agreement in place between the clubs. All that is left to do is signing a few final documents and completing a medical. The conclusion of the transfer saga is imminent with the Serbian making a move to Saudi Pro League.
