He also adds that the Reds are currently focused on finding their new manager and a sporting director, which will automatically be the start of a new project which the players will need to decide whether want to be a long-term part of or not. Who Could Liverpool Appoint As New Manager?
The Reds have not been able to give any kind of a hint over who will be taking over as the new manager after the departure of Klopp, but it has been reported that Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso is one of the prospects being considered for the job. Salah attracted major interest from Saudi clubs last summer too, with Liverpool reportedly rejecting a record offer for him and just about keeping him in the squad. The Egyptian star, who was hailed for his “incredible” goal-scoring ability last season, has scored 18 goals in 27 appearances for the Reds this season and his current contract expires at the end of June 2025.
