Arsenal are strongly pushing for a dramatic end to the 2023/24 Premier League campaign and looking to win their remaining chances to have a possibility of winning the championship. However, the club are also planning for the future and there has been a new update on their links to Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez.

How Much Could Arsenal Sign Gimenez for?
Fabrizio Romano has clarified that Arsenal are still not in any advanced discussions with the Eredivisie club for the possibility of signing their star forward. He adds that there are many clubs interested in signing the Mexico international, but that the Gunners have not yet had any contacts over a potential transfer.

The journalist also adds that there is a “concrete chance for Gimenez to leave” Feyenoord, with manager Arne Slot also poised to become the new Liverpool boss and replace Jurgen Klopp. He further claims that Arsenal are looking to sign attacking players in the summer window, but that there is still no evidence of any concrete talks happening between them and the forward. With that being said, Romano reveals that Gimenez can be available for a price of around £38.4 million, which could make him an attractive option for many clubs.
What’s the Reason Behind the Hype Around Gimenez?
The 23-year-old has been one of the best players in the 2023/24 Eredivisie campaign so far, having scored 21 goals and provided five assists in 29 appearances so far. He’s played a key part in helping Feyenoord keep up in the title and hold onto the second place in the division. He also scored twice in his side’s 3-1 win over Lazio in the UEFA Champions League group stages and has proven himself a clinical goal-scorer with his heroics.

The Mexican forward was hailed as a “truly fantastic” player by Feyenoord legend Mario Been earlier this season and his numbers for the Dutch club proves why many clubs are interested in him, with the 23-year-old having scored 47 goals and provided 10 assists in only 85 appearances so far. With that being said, it remains to be seen if Arsenal are impressed enough to strongly pursue a move for him or if they opt to go for a rather big-money signing of their reported target Victor Gyokeres instead.
