Jadon Sancho looks set to complete his surprising switch from Manchester United to Chelsea, though it’s unclear as to how successful it will be.
Manchester United Accept: Jadon Sancho to Chelsea Done
Deal Now Agreed Between All Parties
Fabrizio Romano has given his “Here We Go” for Sancho to join Chelsea on loan. All parties have agreed, with Manchester United accepting Chelsea’s proposal, whilst the player already said “yes” as he was keen on the project in West London. The deal is now set to be signed, with an obligation to buy for £25 million, a relatively reasonable fee.

Sancho will become a permanent Chelsea player next summer, which seems strange given that their squad is already almost twice as big as they would like. Furthermore, the Blues won’t benefit from Raheem Sterling going the other way, though he may find an exit to London rivals Arsenal, tonight.
What Qualities Does Jadon Sancho Bring?
The good news is that Sancho is an exceptional dribbler, capable of playing wide or central. We know that this works under Enzo Maresca, as Noni Madueke beautifully demonstrated in their 6-2 demolition of Wolves. He could also take a bit of the creative weight off of Cole Palmer’s shoulders; his compatriot has been relied upon heavily for the past season and still is to an extent.

However, Maresca now has yet another attacking player in his rosters. Sancho joins Joao Felix and Pedro Neto as new arrivals this window, who battle amongst thrivers Palmer and Madueke to find a starting spot. Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen could yet join the team which would leave Nicolas Jackson watching from the sidelines. It’s a selection headache.
