Prior to the Greece match, Lee Carsley had a perfect record as England manager, beating Ireland and Finland 2-0. However, against Greece, the Three Lions collapsed and lost 2-1.

England did have a couple of big chances, but did not look stable in defence. Colwill spared Pickford’s blushes after the goalkeeper gave the ball away; the Chelsea defender completed an impressive goal-line clearance.
Despite starting the match with no striker. Carsley’s side ended it with two. Dominic Solanke and Ollie Watkins were both substituted on, but failed to make a real impact, despite the former technically claiming an assist. Fans will hope to see a singular centre-forward start the next fixture.
