OTPP: NHL Off-Season, Expansion Draft, Entry Draft, Trades
We are just a few days into the NHL Off-Season and its already been very busy as general managers look to re-stock talent.
The Montreal Canadiens acquired Jonathan Drouin from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for top prospect Mikhail Sergachev. Where does he fit? Does he solve the Habs offensive woes. Why is Tampa making the deal and what are they getting? Will Sergachev play this year?
The Calgary Flames added Mike Smith from Arizona. Does he finally solve their goaltending issues? What did the Coyotes get in the deal. Who will be the Coyotes goaltender next year?
Jordan Eberle is a New York Islander and Ryan Strome is an Edmonton Oiler. Does the change of scenery help both players?
The boys also look at the Vegas Golden Knights and their new roster after the Expansion Draft. What will their team look like? What was the strategy? Who stays and who goes in trade flips? What trades and picks hurt teams and what teams lost the least?
They also examine the NHL Awards. What were the best and worst moments of the show? Whose votes should be questioned?
The boys finally wrap it all up with an NHL Entry Draft preview. Nico or Nolan? Who else is out there? Who are Ben’s sleepers?
All this and more as we go On the Power Play.
