NHL Predictions: Los Angeles Kings vs Vancouver Canucks

Los Angeles Kings vs Vancouver Canucks

Head-to-Head: Kings 0 – 0 Canucks

To say that the Canucks have been a disappointment is an understatement. They started the season on a pretty bad losing streak and ever since, they haven’t been able to stabilize their season. The Kings on the other hand, are doing just fine – falling in the expected spectrum of things. With a 11-7-1 record, they had a four-game streak in their past 10 games and are coming from a 3-1 win against the Oilers. Now, they’ll be facing a very desperate Canucks team that needs to start winning in a solid way to get momentum.

The goaltender likely matchup is interesting, having a Thatcher Demko who’s not himself and a Jonathan Quick who’s been decent so far. Not the best but decent. Demko has a 1-8-2 record with a 874 save percentage. Quick has a 6-5-1 record and a 895 save percentage. Their defenses haven’t been the best but Vancouver’s is falling apart. So yes, it will be a hard game for them to win. Which makes it a fun ride for everyone involved. Well, probably not the fans but that’s another thing.

It will be a fun game considering both teams are very different. But for the NHL predictions for tonight, the ones that will likely come out as the winners are the Los Angeles Kings. They have a better and more solid team, with – for now – a slightly better goaltending.

Prediction: Los Angeles wins, 4-3
