NHL Predictions
Minnesota Wild vs Colorado Avalanche
Head-to-Head: Wild 0-1
TV: NHL Network; Bally Sports North; Bally Sports Wisconsin
Our opening and featured game of NHL predictions has the Wild taking on a souped-up Avalanche team. Filip Gustavsson is the expected starter for Minnesota, but always check social media before locking in fantasy starter. The Wild have won two straight and will need a push to get into the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Kirill Kaprizov leads the team in goals with 30 this campaign.
Colorado has added some reinforcements to its roster prior to Friday’s trade deadline. Alexandar Georgiev is the confirmed starter for the Avalanche, who are 6-3-1 in the last 10 games. Nathan MacKinnon leads the team in goals (40) and assists (69).
It’ll be hard to see if the Avs will need time to gel. However, it’s a talented roster.
Prediction: Avalanche win 5-2.
Winnipeg Jets vs Seattle Kraken
Head-to-Head: Jets 0-1 Kraken
TV: TSN3; Root Sports Northwest; ESPN+
The Winnipeg Jets look to bounce back against the Seattle Kraken in this one. Winnipeg is 7-3 in the last 10 and will likely start Connor Hellebuyck in between the pipes. The Jets are led by Kyle Connor‘s 26 goals while Josh Morrissey has 43 assists.
Seattle is slated to go with Joey Daccord in net tonight against Winnipeg. The Kraken have won two in a row and are 7-2-1 in the last 10. Seattle is trying to make some kind of a push, but it may be too little too late. Jared McCann leads the team in goals while Vince Dunn has 37 assists to lead that category.
Winnipeg has added some firepower and may be more complete. However, this is shaping up to be another defensive battle.
Prediction: Jets win 3-2.
Dallas Stars vs Anaheim Ducks
Head-to-Head: Stars 2-0 Ducks
TV: Bally Sports Southern California; Bally Sports San Diego; Bally Sports Southwest; Sportsnet; ESPN+
Our last main game of NHL Predictions has the Dallas Stars heading out to the coast to play the Anaheim Ducks. Jake Oettinger is the expected starter for the Stars in this one. Dallas has won three straight games and got seven last time out. Roope Hintz is the team leader in goals with 25 while Jason Robertson is tops in assists with 40.
John Gibson is slated to be the starter, but one never knows with the trade deadline. Anaheim is 5-4-1 in the last 10 games and has been respectable as of late. Possible trade candidate Frank Vatrano leads the team in goals with 29 while Troy Terry has 29 assists this season.
Dallas may not be done making moves as of the deadline. However, the Stars seem ready for a push.
Prediction: Stars win 4-2.
Here’s our other game of tonight’s NHL Predictions
Detroit Red Wings vs Arizona Coyotes
Head-to-Head: Red Wings 0-0 Coyotes
TV: Scripps; Bally Sports Detroit; ESPN+
The Red Wings will likely go with Alex Lyon in goal as the team tries to survive without Dylan Larkin. Detroit was routed by Colorado the last game out by a 7-2 score.
Arizona is expected to roll with Connor Ingram in this one. The long losing streak is over, but another one has just started for the Coyotes.
Prediction: Red Wings win 5-2.
