NHL Predictions

Vancouver Canucks vs Nashville Predators

Series Head-to-Head: Canucks 3-2 Predators

TV: TNT, Sportsnet, TVAS, BSSO, TruTV, Sportsnet, CBC

Our opening and featured game of NHL predictions has the Canucks trying to close out the host Predators. The main question is who is going to be the starter in between the pipes for the Canucks. Casey DeSmith is listed as the starter in a number of outlets. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. J.T. Miller leads the team in points with a goal and five assists for six points. Brock Boeser has the team-lead in goals with four. Boeser’s hat trick the last time the two teams played in Nashville gave Vancouver a 3-1 series lead.

There seems to be no controversy in who’s the Predators’ starter as Juuse Saros gets the call once again. Nashville and Vancouver have played in three consecutive one-goal games and things have been tight for most of the series. Filip Forsberg leads in points with two goals and four assists for six points. The Predators have been at their best when they limit the Canucks’ chances. Luke Schenn was out for Game 5 in Vancouver.

This has been a tight series, but the Canucks close the deal.

Prediction: Canucks win 4-2.

Dallas Stars vs Vegas Golden Knights

Series Head-to-Head: Stars 3-2 Golden Knights

TV: TNT, Sportsnet, SN 360, TVAS, SCRIPPS, BSSW, TruTV

Our last game of NHL predictions has the Dallas Stars trying to close out the defending Stanley Cup champion Vegas Golden Knights. Dallas has looked like a new team after dropping the opening two games at home. The Stars finally broke through and were the first team to finally win a game at home. Wyatt Johnston has three goals and three assists to lead the team in points with six. Jason Robertson also has three goals to help power the Stars. Jake Oettinger is the starter for Dallas, which is looking to set up a date with the Colorado Avalanche in round two.

Logan Thompson is the current scheduled starter for Vegas as of press time. The Golden Knights have only scored two goals per game in each of the last three losses. Vegas is going to need players to step up and start putting in goals to force a winner-take-all Game 7. Players like Alex Pietrangelo are also going to have to better about not taking silly penalties after being called out by head coach Bruce Cassidy. Jack Eichel has played well with three goals and four assists for seven points. Defenceman Brayden McNabb also has two goals and three assists for five points.

Vegas is going to have to do some things differently, but many thought this would go seven games. We’re sticking to that.

Prediction: Golden Knights win 3-2.

Prop Bets of the Night

With their only being two games, we’ll take a look at some prop bets for tonight. In the opener, go with Quinn Hughes getting the over on +1.0 assists. For Nashville, take Roman Josi on +3.0 shots.

In the night cap, go with Oettinger getting the over on +25.5 saves. For Vegas, take Mark Stone with the over on +0.5 points.
