Indiana Native and IndyCar fan favorite Conor Daly will be playing in the NBA Celebrity All-Star game on February 16.
Daly to Play on Team Shannon
The NBA Celebrity All-Star games feature two teams of celebrities that are headed by sports icons. In the case of Conor Daly, he will be playing on NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe’s team. NFL legend Peyton Manning also be part of this team in a supporting capacity.

Other notable names on this team include Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons, actor Quincy Isaiah, and more. Team Shannon will be playing against sports broadcasting legend Stephen A Smith’s team.
Not Conor’s First Rodeo
This is not the first time Conor Daly will represent IndyCar on television outside of racing. In 2018, Daly teamed up with friend/Indy 500 champion Alexander Rossi and competed in the 30th season of The Amazing Race.
Daly and Rossi’s stint on the famous reality/adventure show took them across the globe doing a plethora of crazy challenges. With Conor’s natural charm and sense of humor combined with Rossi’s dry quips, the duo made for an entertaining and understated duo.
During most of their time on the show, they humorously bickered like an old married couple. Regardless, they did quite well, winning four events and making it to the final four.
In addition to The Amazing Race, Conor Daly also made an appearance on Celebrity Family Feud. He joined Will Power, James Hinchcliffe, Tony Kanaan, and Helio Castroneves as Team IndyCar and won the show.
Indy 500 ride secured
Conor Daly has been out of a full-time IndyCar seat since the second half of 2023. For the 2024 season, that is still the case.
However, the 32-year-old has secured a ride for the 108th running of the Indianapolis 500. He will be partnered with 2012 series champion and 2014 Indy 500 winner Ryan Hunter-Reay with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing.
Come the month of May, Daly will attempt to make his 11th start at the Indy 500.
Part-time driver full-time Ambassador
While Conor Daly isn’t a full-time IndyCar driver anymore, he remains a good ambassador for the series. Whether it’s hosting his popular motorsports podcast Speed Street, his iRacing streams during the pandemic, or his various TV appearances over the years, he is a good face for the sport.
The NBA All-Star Celebrity game will be another example of that and Daly will surely bring that humor/fun fans love him for.
