Cedrick Wilson hits free agency on the heels of his best season to date. With Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and CeeDee Lamb all battling injuries at various points of the season, Wilson stepped up to become a key part of the passing attack at various points of the season. Appearing in 16 games and making four starts, the former sixth-round pick finished the year with 45 receptions for 602 yards and six touchdowns on 61 targets. Each mark was a career-high, as was his 13.4 yards per reception. He also exceeded the 100-yard threshold on two separate occasions.

Wilson initially entered the league as a sixth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Selected by the Dallas Cowboys, the Boise State product needed some time to adjust to the NFL game. Injuries ended his rookie season before it ever truly began, as he missed the entire 2018 season with a torn labrum.

Wilson returned to the field in 2019, but he could not make the Week 1 roster. The wideout began the season on the Cowboys practice squad, but quickly earned a promotion after Tavon Austin suffered a concussion. Serving exclusively in a depth role, Wilson finished his 2019 season with just five receptions for 46 yards on eight targets before he suffered a season-ending knee injury.

Wilson came back in 2020 and earned a bigger role in the offense. Appearing in all 16 games, the Boise State product finished his third season with 17 receptions for 189 yards and two touchdowns. His best game of said season came in Week 3 when he recorded five receptions for 107 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-31 loss against the Seattle Seahawks.
