Former First-Team All-Pro safety Eddie Jackson has signed a new contract with the Baltimore Ravens. Jackson has spent the entirety of his professional career with the Chicago Bears.

Eddie Jackson, Baltimore Ravens, Agree to Contract
In 2023, Jackson was not the same player he once was. He was limited during the season with a foot injury and saw a decrease in productivity on the field. He finished the 2023 campaign with 37 total tackles, one interception, and five pass breakups.
Due to injury concerns coming into the draft, Jackson fell to the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. The Bears selected Jackson with the 112th pick and did not regret that decision. Jackson quickly emerged as one of the top safeties in the NFL, showcasing his exceptional ball-hawking skills that wreaked havoc on opposing offenses.
From his rookie season onward, Jackson has been a key starter for the Bears. One of his standout performances came against the Carolina Panthers, where he played a pivotal role in securing a 17-3 victory. In that memorable game, Jackson achieved several milestones, including his first career interception, a fumble recovery, and two touchdowns. Notably, he scored a 75-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown and a 76-yard pick-six. Jackson’s outstanding contributions earned him NFC Defensive Player of the Week and the distinction of being the first player in NFL history to record multiple defensive touchdowns of 75 yards or more in a single game.
The following season, Jackson had one of the greatest seasons a safety has ever had. Jackson became a First-Team All-Pro and was named to his first Pro Bowl. He received an overall grade of 93.2 from Pro Football Focus and was ranked 30th by his fellow players on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2019.

Jackson has appeared in 100 games for the Chicago Bears, with 459 tackles, 15 interceptions, 44 passes defended, and 10 forced fumbles in his seven seasons in Chicago. Jackson was indeed a special player for the Bears. However, it was time for a new change in scenery for the former All-Pro safety.
