wXw returns to Oberhausen with a show concept that brings the legends of the ring to Germany. Mil Muertes, Christopher Daniels, Jay Lethal, Tenille Dashwood and so many more are in for this spectacular edition of Superstars of Wrestling.
Francis Kaspin vs Alexander James
https://twitter.com/wXwGermany/status/990644644177436672
James has been part of his first 16 Carat this year. He lost to Chris Brookes in the first round, but wrestled good quality matches throughout the weekend and put his name on the map for future international bookings. Kaspin is one half of the team Jay-FK, where he pairs with Jay Skillet. Kaspin is a former graduate of the wXw Academy where Skillet is also a coach. A fun warm-up match where the right winner could be brought into position for an opportunity in the future.
Prediction: “The Prince of Pro” Alexander James
Joey Mercury vs Dirty Dragan
https://twitter.com/wXwGermany/status/990644440892149765
Joey Mercury is a three-time WWE Tag Team Champion and was a member of the notorious Straight Edge Society. Before that, he teamed with Johnny Nitro (aka John Morrison) and Melina as part of the MNM stable. Dirty Dragan has been changing the attitude of his character over the last several months. He was known as the drug dealer of Cerberus, a faction where the current wXw Unified World Champion Ilja Dragunov was also a member of. This match is part of a “Trial Series” for Dragan. This bout could end up being quite fast paced with some comedy elements in it. A good short opener to the Main Show will be greatly appreciated by the crowd.
Prediction: Joey Mercury
Emil Sitochi vs Billy Gunn
https://twitter.com/wXwGermany/status/990646148753801217
“And if you’re not down with that, we got two words for ya.” One of the most prominent names in wrestling that is still active, even at 54 years of age, the 11-time WWF/E Tag Team Champion, Billy Gunn, is competing in top level matches. His most recent high-profile match was for NJPW where he faced Hiroshi Tanahashi at the G1 Special in the USA in July 2017. His opponent is a veteran of the wrestling business himself. With nearly 17-years of in-ring experience, the former wXw Shotgun Champion Emil Sitochi is not to be taken lightly by the former DX member.
Prediction: Billy Gunn
Jay Lethal vs Lucky Kid
https://twitter.com/wXwGermany/status/990645662789328896
Another former ROH World Champion, Jay Lethal faces one of the most promising young talents in wXw, the RISE member Lucky Kid. He recently faced Zack Sabre Jr. in Frankfurt in a 23+ minute match that you need to watch on wXwNOW. Lucky was one of the fan favourites of 16 Carat and delivered astonishing performances every night. When it comes to astonishing performances Lethal is no stranger to those either. His feud with Ric Flair in TNA is one of the best of the past 15 years.
Prediction: Jay Lethal

The face team has been on the losing side for the last couple of matches against their respective feud opponent, now they will be trying to defeat them by combining their strengths.
Prediction: Killer Kelly & Marius Al-Ani
wXw Shotgun Championship: Christopher Daniels vs Bobby Gunns (c)
https://twitter.com/wXwGermany/status/990645391573078017
“Gunns…Bobby Gunns” was the longest chant at 16 Carat Gold 2018 and the “King of Smoke Style” was the most over man of the whole tournament. As written in the True Colors Preview, the unique character he portrays is connecting really well with the crowd. The reward for his constant improvement in-and outside the ring is this matchup against the “Fallen Angel” and former ROH World Champion Christopher Daniels. He is the other “Ring General” on this card and the originator of the “Best Moonsault Ever”, he is considered one of the true pioneers of independent wrestling. He continues to re-invent himself, even at this stage in his career. He shows no sign of slowing down and it will be an honour for everybody in the audience to witness the “King of Indies.”
Prediction: Bobby Gunns retains.
wXw Women´s Championship: Tenille Dashwood vs Toni Storm (c)
https://twitter.com/wXwGermany/status/990645143865843714
A true dream match between two of the greatest female wrestlers around today. Toni defended her title against her longtime rival Melanie Gray at 16 Carat. The STARDOM Superstar will be facing the athlete fka “Emma“. The former WWE Diva has been performing in the Women of Honor tournament and continues to deliver under the ROH banner. This could be a true sight to witness, as there won’t be too many places where these two will collide in the squared circle. The elevation of the wXw Women’s title continues with this match and is going to make this title one of the most important female titles in Europe.
Prediction: Toni Storm retains
wXw Unified World Wrestling Championship: WALTER vs Ilja Dragunov (c)
https://twitter.com/wXwGermany/status/990644891654000641
The new PWG Champion challenges Ilja Dragunov once more after their controversial match from True Colors last months, where the main event between these two had to be restarted. As they both said on “Shotgun“: There needs to be a clear finish and a definite winner. Ilja had to battle the chop monster nearly every month now since his return at 16 Carat. His chest might be still bleeding from the last time they met in the ring. WALTER completely claimed the top of European independent wrestling and is set to make his OTT debut June 2 and return to RevPro one day later.
Prediction: WALTER Kills….again
