This weekend, the Reading Festival is being held in Reading, England (the world’s oldest pop music festival still going on, founded in 1971). This year’s Reading Festival features a line-up that is headlined by Fall Out Boy, Kendrick Lamar, Panic At The Disco! and Kings of Leon. One of the acts on the bill for tonight’s performances is British pop star Kate Nash. Kate Nash, a British singer/songwriter, emerged on the UK scene in 2007 with her debut album, Made of Bricks, that reached #1 on the UK charts on the strength of the single, “Foundations”. Since then, Nash has released three more albums, including her latest this year, Yesterday Is Forever.
But while Kate Nash is a big pop star in her native UK, she’s more well known in North America for her acting. She made her acting debut in 2012 in the film Greetings from Tim Buckley and has done some other indie film work, but it was her breakout performance in Netflix’s original series, GLOW, that Kate Nash made her big impression. Now in its second season, Kate Nash portrays the intelligent “scientific” wrestler Britannica, in the Emmy nominated show based on the original Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling.
Tonight, just before Kate Nash was about to begin her performance on the Reading Festival stage, Pro Wrestling EVE star Jetta rushed the stage to verbally berate Kate Nash and the audience.

Jetta is a 31-year old veteran of the UK indie scene, who has been a major part of Pro Wrestling EVE since 2010. Starting out in 2002 with Midlands Professional Wrestling (MPW), Jetta has gone on to win IPW:UK Women’s Championship, Celtic Crown Women’s Championship in Wales with Dragon Pro Wrestling, and is a 2x Bellatrix Women’s Champion with World Association of Wrestling (WAW).

But Jetta didn’t get too far into her set crash on Nash, as the GLOW actress was saved by another Pro Wrestling EVE star (and former Bellatrix Women’s Champion) Erin Angel, who attacked her former friend Jetta and took her out following a dive from the band’s production stands. Following Angel’s attack, Kate Nash promptly delivered a bodyslam to Jetta to ward her off.

Pro Wrestling EVE has been the most important promotion in the UK indie scene for women’s wrestlers since it’s inception in 2010, providing a huge platform for developing, emerging and veteran women’s wrestlers to continue to hone their craft, especially in the early days when women’s wrestling was still an afterthought on many other cards. While the other top promotions, such as PROGRESS, RevPro, IPW:UK and others are featuring women more predominantly than ever before, EVE continues to build on its stellar foundation, having recently held the huge Wrestle Queendom event earlier this year, and bringing in joshi legends like Meiko Satomura and Command Bolshoi for their UK debuts.
Will we see Kate Nash seek her revenge against Jetta at an upcoming EVE show?
