#AndNEW: Dan Moloney Captures Fight Club: PRO World Championship

Dan Moloney

On October 25th, Fight Club: PRO held their Infinity 2019 event in The Hanger in Wolverhampton. The event was built around their Infinity tournament, the second in its current incarnation. This year’s tournament involved Trent Seven, Jordan Devlin, Cara Noir, Chief Deputy Dunne, Joe Nelson, Orange Cassidy, Carlos Romo, Dan Moloney, Chuck Mambo, Clint Margera, Eddie Kingston, and Connor Mills. A who’s who from today’s independent scene on either side of the Atlantic. The winner of the Infinity Tournament would also be crowned the new FCP World Champion. The title was vacated due to an injury to Mark Davis, who was the last champion.

In the first round, “Drilla” Dan Moloney eliminated Eddie Kingston. Jordan Devlin eliminated Cara Noir, and Trent Seven eliminated Joe Nelson. Chuck Mambo was the final one to make it out of the first round, winning a scramble match involving Dunne, Cassidy, Romo, Mills and Margera. The main event of the night would be the four-way match involving Dan Moloney, Jordan Devlin, Trent Seven and Chuck Mambo. All of these men are very familiar with one another, but this was for the FCP World Championship. There were no friends in this match.

Chuck Mambo scored the first elimination, sending OTT World Champion Jordan Devlin packing. He hit the Chuck You air raid crash and Devlin was done. Mambo was then next to go, falling victim to Moloney’s Drilla driver. It was down to the two friends, Dan Moloney and Trent Seven. It is said that old age and treachery can overcome youth and exuberance; Seven’s age compared to other British stars like Moloney, Tyler Bate, and Pete Dunne has always been talked about. This time though, Dan Moloney would not be denied. Seven also fell to the Drilla Driver, so your winner and NEW Fight Club: PRO World Champion is Dan Moloney.

Moloney is just 22 years old and has been a pro for about six years. He competes regularly for FCP, ATTACK! Pro Wrestling, IPW: UK, RevPRO, and Kamikaze Pro. Moloney has also appeared for NXT UK and PROGRESS Wrestling. He’s teamed with Tyler Bate many times in the past, as well as the man he defeated in Trent Seven. After the match, Seven endorsed Moloney to the crowd’s delight.
