This comes off a report from Inside The Ropes’ Gary Cassidy, who reported a few weeks ago that a handful of names were expected to be joining NXT UK in the near future. Alongside Rampage were Adam Maxted, Molly Spartan, Aleah James, and former IMPACT Wrestling star, Gursinder Singh.
The 19-year veteran has spent his entire career proving up and down the nation why he’s more than deserving of a huge opportunity like this. Hailing from Leeds, Brown has won championship gold everywhere he’s gone. A former two-time Defiant Wrestling World Champion, a former PROGRESS Wrestling World Champion, a former two-time Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) Tag Team Champion with fellow NXT UK star Ashton Smith, a former World of Sport Wrestling (WOS) Champion, the inaugural PROGRESS Wrestling Atlas Champion, Rampage is undoubtedly one of the most prolific stars NXT UK has on offer.
Those who have followed his career for a while will be aware that this isn’t actually the first time Rampage has appeared in WWE, as he spent time in WWE’s then-developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). Known as Monty Lynch, Brown appeared on a good few episodes of FCW TV, losing to the likes of Husky Harris, Mason Ryan, and Titus O’Neil.
Nearing his forties, Rampage’s NXT UK stint could easily be the last major stop in his career before retirement. Considering he’s been the measuring stick for independent British talents, there’s no-one more deserving of this opportunity than Rampage Brown.
