Jordan Devlin vs A-Kid in a 30-minute Iron Man match will headline NXT UK, marking the first time the brand will feature this grueling type of match. We will also see the debut of a new tag team and Blair Davenport in action. NXT UK will air on the WWE Network and Peacock at 8 pm GMT/3 pm EST on August 5. Fans in the UK can also watch the show a day later on BT Sport.

Davenport In Action, Expect to See Brookside
Blair Davenport has been brash on the microphone and impressive in the ring in her first month with NXT UK. We’ve been promised a Davenport match this week but her opponent has yet to be announced. She had a war of words with Xia Brookside a few weeks ago which indicates the two will tussle at some point. This will likely be the match we see today. If not, Brookside will probably make her presence felt at some point whilst Davenport competes.

Mastiff Starz, or Dave And Jack?
Dave Mastiff has been playing the role of big cuddly veteran recently. He’s been training with Jack Starz and has been impressed. Mastiff encouraged Starz to believe in himself enough to challenge Tyler Bate for the Heritage Cup Championship. Now, the two will team up in their first tag team match. They will probably put away a makeshift team from the NXT UK enhancement talent.
Pretty Deadly is looking more convincing as the Tag Team Champions with each day. So, it makes sense to build another team for them to face. Let’s hope Mastiff and Starz get a fun name. There are some new teams in the division which could set us up for some four-team contests in the future.

Jordan Devlin and A-Kid’s 30-minute Iron Man
This rivalry has developed into one of the most intense we’ve seen all year during the short time since Jordan Devlin returned to NXT UK. A-Kid initially rubbed “The Irish Ace” up the wrong way by helping himself to the drinks facilities in Devlin’s dressing room. This led to an incredible match between Devlin and A-Kid a month ago. It was one of the most inventive and original matches we’ve seen on NXT UK. Devlin won that contest by injuring the knee of A-Kid.
The Spaniard’s knee has healed quickly, leaving A-Kid fit enough to challenge Devlin to a 30-minute Iron Man match. It is guaranteed to be an epic battle between the two. If Devlin wins, he can forget about A-Kid and possibly focus on bigger fish. If A-Kid wins, we will probably get a deciding match. Not hyped yet?
