IMPACT Wrestling Bound for Glory Predictions
New X-Division Champion
Josh Alexander invoked Option-C to challenge Christian Cage for the IMPACT World Title. By doing so, Alexander relinquished the X-Division Title. This opened the door for a new champion to be crowned in IMPACT. Three qualifying matches were made which left Steve Maclin, El Phantasmo, and Trey Miguel standing. ELP and Miguel will need to rely on their speed, agility, and high flying ability to stop the pure strength of Maclin. Maclin has been on a roll since joining IMPACT, knocking down every challenge put in front of him. When the final bell rings, the X-Division will have a new wrestler to carry to torch for the division. Find out who brings the title home at Bound for Glory.
Prediction – Trey Miguel Wins the X-Division Title
Knockouts World Title
Deonna Purrazzo has had issues with Mickie James, since James returned to IMPACT at Slammiversary. James invited Purrazzo to NWA EmPowerrr. Purrazzo disrespected James, which lead to James kicking Purrazzo in the middle of the ring. Purrazzo retained her title at EmPowerr and attacked James the next night at NWA 73. After James taunted Purrazzo for weeks, this match was made official. Purrazzo attacked James while she worked on her farm. This set up “Pick Your Poison” matches over the next couple of weeks.
James set Purazzo to take on Masha Slammovich in which Purazzo won. Purrazzo chose Savannah Evans to face James on IMPACT. James was able to overcome Evans. but was left laying after an assist from Matthew Rehwoldt. With those matches behind them, the two can finally focus on each other. The time for talking and sneak attacks is done. Two knockouts will enter, only one will hold the Knockouts Title at the end of the night.
Prediction – Purrazzo Retains
Option C is Invoked
Josh Alexander retained his X-Division Title at Victory Road. Christian Cage retained the IMPACT World Title on the same night. Before Cage could celebrate for long, Alexander made his way to the ring. He looked at both titles before declaring his intention to invoke Option-C. He formerly relinquished the X-Division Title the following week on IMPACT. The two have had to team up to take down the team of Ace Austin and Madman Fulton over the last few weeks. They were not completely friendly to each other as both know what is on the line at Bound for Glory. Two generations of IMPACT will square off as Cage takes veteran experience into the main event against the technical skill of Alexander. Only one will walk out of Las Vegas the IMPACT World Champion.
Prediction – Josh Alexander Captures The Title
