Preview: Northeast Championship Wrestling – NCW The Final Countdown (11/6/21)

NCW The Final Countdown

Northeast Championship Wrestling is on their way to WrestleFest XVI, but just mere days before that, they have one final stop: NCW The Final Countdown! Big implications are within these matches and it is shaping up to be a can’t-miss show!

NCW The Final Countdown Full Card

Dr Hersey Tony Spencer NCW The Final Countdown

Dr. Hersey vs “Tough Talk” Tony Spencer

Dr. Hersey is one of the stranger characters in all of wrestling, but Tony Spencer demanded this match. Spencer has more of an old-school approach to wrestling which fans appreciate, but this is going to be one they talk about in the RI/MA area for years to come.

NCW The Final Countdown Shay Cash Kris Pyro

Shay Cash vs Kris Pyro

Ever since Big City Rumble, there has been tension between The Heavy Hitters and Da Hoodz. The two teams are set to collide at WrestleFest XVI, but before that, Shay Cash must face Kris Pyro. This will be a hard-hitting match (pun intended) and it might break down into a full-out war between the two teams as they head into the following weekend.

NCW The Final Countdown Four on Four Elimination Match

Robbie Gamble, Ike, Insane Dick Lane and Frank the Crank vs Tim Lennox, Steven Lust, Isana and Nick Diamond (w/ Dallas McCarthy)

Things haven’t been the same since Isana joined the League of Excellence, but sometimes, drastic measures must be taken to get what you want. With a match at WrestleFest XVI on the horizon against Jessie Nolan for Isana, the fate of the rest of these competitors seems yet-to-be-determined though a street fight of sorts between Tim Lennox and Insane Dick Lane would be intriguing. This match might lose control, but it will show where the true power is, as one team will walk away standing.

"Riot" Kellan Thomas & Ricky Medeiros vs Mike Montero and Jason Devine

“Riot” Kellan Thomas & Ricky Medeiros vs Mike Montero and Jason Devine

There is much going on in this match, but what it boils down to is that Mike Montero is the current NCW New England Champion and he will be defending that title at WrestleFest XVI against “Riot” Kellan Thomas. Now, Ricky Medeiros is part of the Dirt City Murder Crue along with Montero, so having them on opposite sides of the ring. This could either be good or bad for Kellan Thomas. Medeiros is also partners with Jason Devine, who will be across the ring from him to further complicate things. However, Devine is on the side of Montero, helping him secure the win over Medeiros at No Fear. Oh, what tangled webs we weave. In some ways, this could just break down into a four-way match with every man for fending for themselves, but it would also seem likely that Montero and Devine are looking to rough up Thomas before his New England Championship opportunity!

Team Timber vs Team Victorious

All or Nothing Match for NCW Heavyweight and Tag Team Titles: Team Timber (The Lumberjake, Vern Vicallo and Channing Thomas) vs Team Victorious (BRG, Brad Cashew and Ricky Smokes) (c)

This All or Nothing main event will change the face of NCW as we know it, as a title change is guaranteed. The Lumberjake is the current NCW Heavyweight Champion and if his team loses, that title would belong to BRG, who also happens to have a title shot at WrestleFest XVI. Brad Cashew and Ricky Smokes are the current NCW Tag Team Champions, so if their team loses, Vern Vicallo and Channing Thomas will become the new titleholders. Consider the drama of Thomas and Vicallo, who are scheduled to face each other at WrestleFest XVI in a grudge match. This might be one of the biggest matches in NCW history and it all leads to the biggest NCW show of the year just days later!

Darley Desamot will be in action and so much more as NCW brings The Final Countdown to Bristol, RI on Saturday, November 6, 2021. For more information and tickets, please visit https://thencw.com/.
