NXT UK Preview
Rampage Wants NXT UK Championship Not Respect
Aretha Franklin famously sang about wanting respect. The question is, if NXT UK Champion Ilja Dragunov had given it to her, would she have thrown it back in his face? Dragunov happily agreed to give Rampage Brown a title shot but when he went one further and told the Yorkshireman he respected him, Brown beat him up.
Brown says he doesn’t want Dragunov’s respect, just his title. Dragunov is relishing being a positive symbol for the NXT UK fans so will want to leave with his championship.
Daddy’s Little Champion
We have seen a new side of Xia Brookside recently. Gone is the lovable and plucky underdog. Brookside had been on a losing streak and has changed to try and turn things around. The daughter of British wrestling legend and NXT Producer/ Trainer Robbie Brookside, has used her connections to get a shot at Meiko Satomura’s NXT UK Women’s Championship. This interesting thing about this match will be how far Brookside is willing to go to become champion.
Brookside will need more than family ties to topple Satomura. It has been an exceptional first year in NXT UK for Satomura and she will almost certainly see it out as champion.
Congratulations @XiaBrooksideWWE… you get your opportunity.

Scum Culture
Kenny Williams was once like Mark Andrews. High-flying and exciting in the ring and extremely pleasant outside of it. But his heel turn has been dramatic. Williams first turned on his former tag team partner Amir Jordan and then forced him out of NXT UK for good. Now he spends his time cheating to victory and antagonizing the rest of the NXT UK roster. Never one to miss a chance to kick a man while he’s down, Williams taunted Flash Morgan Webster as he found out he would need surgery.
Andrews stood up for Webster and reminded Williams that he’s still able to compete. It is unconfirmed when the two will go one-on-one, but it seems very likely it’ll be this week.
