Tyler Bate and Trent Seven have finally done it. Bate and Seven, better known as Moustache Mountain, defeated Pretty Deadly on Thursday’s NXT UK to become NXT UK Tag Team Champions for the first time. This was their second match against Pretty Deadly, earning the opportunity in a four-way No. 1 contendership match in November. Pretty Deadly’s run with the titles ends at 287 days, successfully defending the titles five times. For Moustache Mountain, this is their second tag team title win since signing with WWE as they also held the NXT Tag Team Championship back in 2018.

The rivalry between Moustache Mountain and Pretty Deadly has been going on for a number of months now as it was the now-former tag team champions who aided Noam Dar in an effort to dethrone Bate of the Heritage Cup back in October.
With the victory, Tyler Bate becomes NXT UK’s first-ever Triple Crown Champion. He is the only man to win the NXT United Kingdom Championship, Heritage Cup, and now NXT UK Tag Team Championship.
Looking forward, Moustache Moutain is certain to have title challengers coming from all sides as Gallus, Subculture, and a rematch with Pretty Deadly all feel like matches that could be on the horizon. Time will tell as to who steps up first but two of the “founding fathers” of NXT UK now have gold around their waists.
