#AndNEW: Super Crazy Captures World Junior Heavyweight Championship

AJPW Dream Power Series

All Japan Pro Wrestling recently held the AJP Prime Night show, which is known as the last major event of AJPW’s calendar year. In this show, we had three departures with Naoya Nomura, Koji Iwamoto, and Zeus. But before those departures, we would have a World Junior Heavyweight Championship match between Izanagi and Super Crazy.

Super Crazy made his AJPW return earlier this year during the Real World Tag League. He teamed with Tajiri in a failed effort in their block of action, but Super Crazy ended up with a title shot against Izanagi, which would lead to the final title match of the year for All Japan on AJP Prime Night.

Izanagi was to be making his first title defense since winning the World Junior Heavyweight Championship from SUGI at Champions Night 2. What many assumed would be an easy title defense for the new champion was thwarted as Super Crazy would defeat Izanagi to become the new World Junior Heavyweight Champion via a roll-up. This marks the first time Super Crazy has held the World Junior Heavyweight Championship.

When it comes to challengers for said championship, it can be assumed that he will make his first title defense during the upcoming New Year Wars tour at the start of the year. Who it will be against is another question entirely, as 2021 has legitimately been a busy year for this championship – with six new champions. It could be against Izanagi, it could be against his partner Tajiri. The only thing that is certain is that All Japan’s junior division has become Super Crazy.
