U.S. indie wrestler Hakim Zane – better known to many fans as Rohit Raju on IMPACT Wrestling since 2018 – revealed on his Twitter on Sunday night that he was now officially a free agent, indicating his contract with IMPACT Wrestling had now expired.
As of today I am a free agent. Where would you like to see me next?

As Hakim Zane, he has been one of the Midwest’s most underrated all-around talents since his debut in 2008, where the Saginaw, Michigan native has been a regular with such promotions as hometown companies like Xtreme Intense Championship Wrestling (XICW) and Collective League Of Adrenaline Strength And Honor (CLASH), as well as appearing for other notable U.S. indies such as AAW Pro, Wrestling REVOLVER, Glory Pro, Rockstar Pro, Black Label Pro, and more. Thanks his home turf being on the U.S./Canada border, Zane also found success in the Southwest Ontario indie scene with the likes of Border City Wrestling (BCW), Superkick’D, Alpha-1, and others.
Starting in 2013, he began to work dark matches for Ring of Honor, and in 2017, made his debut with IMPACT Wrestling under his Hakim Zane name. In 2018, he was rebranded as Rohit Raju, part of Gama Singh‘s Desi Hit Squad stable, until breaking away in early 2000. In August of 2020, he won the IMPACT X-Division Championship, holding the title for 115-days. As Hakim Zane on the U.S. indies, he is also a former 2x AAW Heritage Champion and Glory Pro Midwest Champion.
