AEW Revolution has been an eventful night for All Elite Wrestling. Heading into the show in question, fans will see no fewer than 4 major title matches. However, the evening was not short on non-title surprises. Making his AEW debut, following numerous reports and ample speculation, was Swerve Strickland. Following the “Face of the Revolution” ladder match, Tony Schivone took the stage. He announced the arrival of Shane Strickland to AEW. Strickland made his way into the arena and let Schivone know he is here to take championships.

What to Know Following AEW Debut at Revolution
Per Sean Ross Sapp and Fightful Select, Swerve Strickland had inked a deal with All Elite Wrestling. Furthermore, Sapp claimed that Strickland’s debut would be “imminent,” even as soon as Revolution, though the specific details regarding his debut were unknown. Adding fuel to the fire was that Strickland was reportedly in attendance for AEW’s concert this past Saturday in Orlando, Florida.
Pro wrestling fans may best know Strickland for his time in WWE, where he competed as Isaiah “Swerve” Scott on NXT and Friday Night SmackDown. During his stint in the company, he formed Hit Row alongside Top Dolla, Ashante “Thee” Adonis, and B-Fab, even becoming NXT North American Champion as part of the faction. This past November, Strickland was released from WWE along with various other talents. Strickland made his return to the independent scene last month, competing in PROGRESS Wrestling, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and elsewhere.
Strickland’s championship success isn’t limited to WWE, either. During his time on the independent scene, he captured world title gold in different organizations. Notable accolades include reigns as CZW World Heavyweight Champion, PCW ULTRA Heavyweight Champion, and MLW World Heavyweight Champion. Lucha Underground fans may also remember Strickland as Killshot, competing under a mask and even capturing the Trios Championship alongside The Mack, Dante Fox, and later on, Son of Havoc.
