After thousands of matches, just shy of 50 years in the wrestling business, Ric Flair will have one last match. And this time, it’s on his terms and under the banner of Jim Crockett Promotions, one last time. On July 31st in Nashville, Tennessee, under the bright lights of the Nashville Municipal Auditorium, Jim Crockett Promotions rides again. With the help of Conrad Thompson and Starrcast, David Crockett can give JCP the proper send-off that it did not get before. In addition to Ric Flair’s Last Match, many promotions have contributed talent, including MLW, NJPW, IMPACT Wrestling, and AEW.
In addition to numerous singles and tag team matches, there is a special Bunkhouse Battle Royal dedicated to the late Mark Nielsen. Nielsen was part of Thompson’s group of friends and a beloved member of Starrcast staff. We miss you, Mark.
Let’s see what is in store for Ric Flair’s Last Match.

Former ROH World Heavyweight Champion Jonathan Gresham will step between the ropes with three of the hottest rising stars in the world. Konosuke Takeshita, currently on an excursion in the United States from DDT Pro, will face these men for the first time. Alan Angels, who recently left AEW, is looking to get attention and prove to the world who he truly is. Nick Wayne is the 17-year-old sensation out of the Pacific Northwest. Wayne is a third-generation star, son of wrestler and trainer Buddy Wayne, and grandson of “Moondog” Ed Moretti. He’s been thrilling and impressing everyone for promotions like GCW, DEFY Wrestling, and PROGRESS, among many others. While Gresham might be a few pounds lighter in hardware, he will certainly be ready, willing, and able to show why he is indeed The Foundation.
IMPACT Knockouts Championship Match:
Jordynne Grace (c) vs. Deonna Purrazzo vs. Rachael Ellering
Jordynne Grace is off to the races in her second reign as IMPACT Knockouts Champion after winning the title at Slammiversary 2022. Grace lost the title to Deonna to end her first reign. The two have been involved in several matches together over the last two years. Jordynne has been on the winning side more times, but Purrazzo did defeat Grace when it truly counted for the Knockouts title. The added wrinkle in this affair is Rachael Ellering. Ellering and Grace briefly reigned as Knockouts Tag Team Champions back in 2021. And while in NXT together, Ellering, known as Rachael Evers, was supposed to join VXT with Purrazzo and Chelsea Green. At Ric Flair’s Last Match, we’ll see if any loyalties remain for Ellering or if it’s truly every woman for herself.
IMPACT World Championship Match:
Josh Alexander (c) vs. Jacob Fatu
Josh Alexander is nearly 100 days into his second reign with the IMPACT Wrestling World title. Moose ended his first reign prematurely, so now Alexander truly gets to enjoy the spoils of being champion. Following his win at Rebellion, Alexander has had six successful title defenses. This match at Ric Flair’s Last Match is a first-time encounter with MLW Heavyweight Champion Jacob Fatu. Fatu held the MLW title hostage for over 600 days. The Samoan Werewolf is part of the infamous Samoan Wrestling dynasty, and a hybrid athlete like few have ever seen before. When these two behemoths clash, it’s undoubtedly going to be one you don’t want to miss.

Ric Flair’s Last Match:
Jay Lethal & Jeff Jarrett (w/Karen Jarrett) vs. Andrade El Idolo & Ric Flair
For an event entitled Ric Flair’s Last Match, the main event is, of course, Ric Flair’s last match. To walk that aisle one last time, Flair will walk side by side with his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo. They will take on the team of Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett, accompanied by his wife, Karen Jarrett. The two of them selfishly have inserted themselves into this situation. Lethal, feeling slighted by Flair for seemingly not having room for him on his final show. Jarrett feels that Flair disrespected himself and his family’s legacy once too often. These two egomaniacs will team up to attempt to end the legendary career of Ric Flair on a sad note. At 73 years old, Flair knows that he “may not be as good as he once was, but he’s as good once as he ever was.”
Andrade will be at his father-in-law’s side to protect him and help ensure his legacy ends the way Flair deserves. One way or another, whoever’s hand may be raised; it will be indeed Ric Flair’s Last Match.
If you cannot attend in person, you can order the event via FITE.TV.
