#AndNEW: Title Changes at The People vs GCW

The People vs GCW

Live from Nashville Fairgrounds, Game Changer Wrestling held The People vs GCW. During this evening’s action, multiple title matches took place. Fans wondered whether they would see title changes take place at one of GCW’s many events of the year. This is especially true given that no fewer than 3 championships were on the line. However, multiple titles ended up switching hands, potentially shaking the foundation of the company in the process. Here’s what to know heading out of The People vs GCW and toward the remaining Game Changer Wrestling shows of 2022.

Championship Title Changes at The People vs GCW

Cole Radrick Wins GCW Extreme Championship

The show opened with the Scramble Match for the GCW Extreme Championship. The reigning champion, AJ Gray, put his gold on the line against Axton Ray, Grim Reefer, Shane Mercer, Marko Stunt, and Cole Radrick. Gray entered this match as the favorite, which should have come as little surprise given that he’s been GCW Extreme Champion since this past January. In fact, Gray was performing valiantly until his momentum was cut off by Cole Radrick. Ultimately, it was a Pedigree by Radrick that allowed him to capture the GCW Extreme Championship for the first time in his career.

Los Macizos Wins GCW Tag Team Championship

The GCW Tag Team Championship was also on the line, as BUSSY (Allie Katch and EFFY) defended the titles against Los Macizos (Ciclope and Miedo Extremo) and Mance Warner and Matthew Justice of Second Gear Crew. BUSSY have been tag team titleholders since April, capturing the gold from The Briscoes. It didn’t take long for this three-way tag team match to get violent, as various members of each team used weapons to get the upper hand. Thus, it should go without saying that a fair degree of bloodshed followed. The match reached its conclusion when BUSSY took Warner out of the match. From there, Miedo powerbombed EFFY onto broken glass, Ciclope following up with a moonsault, and lastly, Miedo executing a 450 splash. With this, Los Macizos became GCW Tag Team Champions for the second time.
