IMPACT Wrestling returns to IMPACT Plus on August 13th as they present Emergence 2022. Live from Cicero Stadium IMPACT returns to the greater Chicago area for the first time since 2019. Josh Alexander will defend his IMPACT World Championship in the main event against Alex Shelley. Jordynne Grace will defend her IMPACT Knockouts Championship against Mia Yim, a ten-man tag match will take place between Bullet Club and Honor no More, and much more! The action will begin at 8 pm eastern on IMPACT Plus and Ultimate Insiders on YouTube. The countdown show will begin at 7:30 pm eastern on IMPACT’s YouTube channel. Ten-Man Tag Match
Honor No More has more than overstayed their welcome in IMPACT Wrestling. They held up IMPACT on AXS TV when they demanded that Scott D’amore give them a shot at the IMPACT World Tag Team Titles, currently held by the Good Brothers. D’amore agreed but on one condition. Honor No More must defeat the Bullet Club in a five-on-five match at Emergence. The catch is that if Honor No More loses, they must disband. Honor No More has had their backs against the wall before. At No Surrender, they had to win a tag match to stay in IMPACT Wrestling. They were victorious after Eddie Edwards betrayed Team IMPACT to help Honor No More get the win. Will they be able to stay together this time? Find out this Friday night.
Knockouts Championship Match
Ever since Mia Yim returned to IMPACT at Under Siege she has made one thing clear. She wants a shot at the IMPACT Knockouts Championship. Now she will get her chance at Emergence when she takes on Jordynne Grace. Grace captured the title at Slammiversary in the first-ever Queen of the Mountain match. She went on to defeat former champion Tasha Steelz in a one-on-one match at Against All Odds to solidify herself as the champion. Yim defeated former champion Deonna Purrazzo to earn her shot at Grace and the championship. The two competitors have been friendly toward each other but that will all go out the window when they step into the ring at IMPACT Wrestling Emergence 2022.
IMPACT Emergence 2022 Main Event
Alex Shelley did not have an easy path to earn this shot against Josh Alexander. He had to force his long-time tag team partner Chris Sabin to tap out at the end of a brutal match between the two. Josh Alexander and the Motor City Machine Guns temporarily teamed up to take on Honor No More. All three men have a storied history in IMPACT and teamed up to take on the consistent threat to IMPACT, Honor No More. After the match, the Machine Guns were slow to hand Alexander his IMPACT World Championship. This set up the match between Shelley and Sabin with the number one contendership on the line. Shelley is a former X-Divison and World Tag Team Champion. He would love to add the IMPACT World Championship to his resume this Friday at Emergence.
