WWE Raw tonight makes its return to the Norfolk Scope of Norfolk, Virginia. A very well-known arena for pro wrestling fans thanks to the infamous “D-X Invades Nitro” segment back in 1998. Triple H famously mentioned the arena by name as being the location of that week’s edition of WCW Monday Nitro before riding off to it on a Jeep with a cannon barrel equipped. Or as they love to say, “a tank”. It wasn’t a tank.
It also happens to be the site of the May 16th edition of Raw this year. The show where Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of the WWE after dropping off their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. WWE having to cancel the 6 Pack Challenge match they had announced that involved both of them, Nikki ASH, Doudrop, Becky Lynch and Asuka. Instead, Asuka and Becky Lynch had an abrupt one on one match that kind of made them jump the gun as they were in the midst of their own feud. Doudrop and Nikki just did nothing.

It All Culminates Here For Dexter Lumis
After MONTHS of this story involving Dexter Lumis, The Miz, at one point Tomasso Ciampa, the returning Johnny Gargano, Maryse…… And Road Dogg at one point? It seems to all climax here, the day after Survivor Series: WarGames. The Miz must face Dexter Lumis and hopefully, it’s not another bait and switch like a few weeks ago. If Dexter wins, he gets a WWE contract. If Miz wins….. Well, last time, the bet was that Dexter Lumis would have to leave the WWE FOREVER!
The match was not a part of the Premium Live Event the day before, but since the start of the Triple H era of booking, it’s not the first time seemingly big matches end up on the weekly TV. Though, up until before this match, those matches tended to involved either the Intercontinental or United States title. Case in point, Friday’s Smackdown World Cup final with the winner getting a shot at the Intercontinental title.
Hopefully, they follow through on their promise.

No, we aren’t talking about some Vince McMahon brand humor. It’s a reference to the new United States Champion’s absolutely bizarre and completely unfitting entrance at the Premium Live Event on Saturday that was used to promote of all things, Beyblade. Close to The Undertaker being interviewed in character on Regis and Kelly decades ago on the “this was clearly not a good idea” scale.
Despite his failure to cash in Money In The Bank in one of it’s most bungled cash in’s ever from every aspect, Austin Theory was able to sneak a victory over the destructive Bobby Lashley in the midst of a heel turn and Seth Rollins in the midst of his seeming babyface shift. Will he be able to retain the momentum and impact Bobby Lashley and Seth Rollins had built with the title at the start of the Triple H booking regime?
The Damage Was Controlled
The team of Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, Asuka, Alexa Bliss and Mia Yim was victorious over the team of Damage CTRL, Nikki Cross and Rhea Ripley. Thus bringing an end to the feud between Bianca Belair and Bayley. Though that opens the door for new challengers now. It’s pretty clear by how she was presented that Rhea Ripley is presented as a potential challenger. However, it’s possible she might actually be held off until Wrestlemania. There’s also Nikki Cross, who despite being sided with Damage CTRL, wasn’t exactly a team player during the match. For the first time since Summerslam, it’s an open field on Raw for the Women’s Division.
All that and more, on WWE Raw tonight.
