AEW Revolution Results and News:

Jack Perry Goes to a Dark Place

Jack Perry has a history of holding back some aggression in this feud against Christian Cage. Tonight, Perry finally used the conchairto against Cage, before loading him in a casket, giving him a kiss goodbye, and slamming the lid shut to win the match.

#AndNEW: House of Black Wins Trios Championships

The House of Black defeated The Elite to become the new AEW World Trios Champions. Don Callis was on commentary for the match and was not happy with the result. Julia Hart became involved but wound up taking a nasty fall from the apron courtesy of Kenny Omega.

Jamie Hayter Retains the AEW Women’s Championship, Soho Aligns with Saraya

Jamie Hayter retained the AEW Women’s Championship by pinning Ruby Soho. After the match, a brawl broke out between Saraya, Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, and Britt Baker. Ruby Soho who has been in the middle of the situation first tossed Saraya and Storm out of the ring. Jamie Hayter raised the hand of Soho appearing to align with her and Baker. She dropped Hayter and Baker, grabbing a spray paint can from Saraya and clearly aligning with Saraya and Storm.

#AndNEW: Wardlow Wins AEW TNT Championship

Wardlow regained the AEW TNT Championship in a very personal rivalry with Samoa Joe. Wardlow already knows who his first challenger will be, as Powerhouse Hobbs won the Face of the Revolution Ladder match last week on Dynamite. Hobbs will face off with Wardlow this Wednesday on Dynamite.

The Gunns Retain Tag Team Championships, FTR Returns

The Guns retained the AEW World Tag Team Championships in a four-way match. After the match, they called out the teams they had defeated. One of which was FTR who made their return to the ring and beatdown the Gunns.

MJF and Bryan Danielson Go Beyond 60-Minutes

The first fall went to Danielson just before the 30-minute mark of the match. Danielson scored a pinfall. MJF countered with a low blow causing MJF a disqualification. He picked up two immediate pin falls to event them up at two falls a piece. MJF took back control with a pinfall after piledriving Danielson through the remains of a table outside of the ring. With about 10 minutes left, Danielson picked up a submission to make it three falls apiece. Although Danielson had a submission locked in on the injured knee with just over a minute left. MJF held on until the bell, leaving the match tied at three falls each with time expired.

Tony Schivone received communication from the back. The match was restarted under sudden death rules. MJF tried a quick low blow with the referee distracted but could not get the fall. With the referee distracted again MJF tried using the Dynamite Diamond Ring but Danielson reversed for a near fall. Once again MJF found himself in a submission in the middle of the ring. He got a rope break but taped out right after, tricking Danielson into thinking he had won. MJF rolled outside of the ring and grabbed an oxygen tank to hit Danielson with. He put Danielson in the Labell Lock which eventually made Danielson tap out for the win.

AEW Revolution Results and Analysis

The shoulder of Danielson was a focal point throughout the match as was the knee of MJF. The inexperience in matches of this length of the part of MJF was highlighted throughout the match as MJF ran to take a water break about halfway through the match and at the 40-minute time mark. He also needed oxygen from the medical staff prior to the match being restarted in sudden death.

Outside of the main event, it appears that the feud between Christan Cage and Jungle Boy has come to an end. With Hangman Page getting a clear victory over Moxley tonight in a high-stakes stipulation match it also appears that the feud is done for the time being. Battle lines have formally been drawn in the women’s division and FTR has re-established itself in the tag team division. They will likely challenge the Gunns sooner rather than later.
